The James Web Space Telescope will be the latest in a string of telescopes from NASA. Overdue and over budget, it’s supposed to launch in 2016. Intended as the replacement for Hubble, it will allow humans to see deeper into the universe than we ever have before.
The Kepler and James Webb space telescopes are on the chopping block, budget-wise. Probably only because too few people are aware of how much they’ve done for the human understanding of the universe we live in.
