Urgh… the whole Fermi Paradox thing has been gnawing at my insides, especially after reading an article about how advanced civilizations might communicate.
There’s a reason Robert Heinlein is considered a master of science-fiction. And this book is a perfect example as to why. It’s been decades since it was first published but its setting, politics, and humanity remain relevant today.
With the discovery of an Earth-sized habitable in its star’s “goldilocks” zone, the question some are asking is, “Why haven’t we discovered alien life yet?” Some speculate a planet like this might be proof that advanced civilizations just can’t survive The Great Filter.
